Today i will be briefing you about why yoga is important alongwith one great yoga asana for strengthening your core and building beautiful sexy abs.
Ok so, lets get started....


WHY YOGA???
"Dont underestimate the power of Yoga, it has the power to heal your mind body and soul, fighting depression and reliving you  from anxiety and stress."
Yes!  u heard it right. Those suffering from anxiety, fear , any kind of stress, depression could benefit from practicing yoga  on a daily basis.
It gives you inner peace.

Whereas if we talk about gym workouts/ other workouts they are mainly focused on improving your body's physical condition. What about your mental health/ wellbeing?
So if u want to be mentally fit here where yoga comes up.
It not only keeps you emotionally fit, but also relieves you from anxiety and depression.
so, in short , yoga benefits you mentally spiritually socially and physically too.

WHAT IS YOGA?
As defined by Yoga sutras of Patanjali, yoga means
"Yogah chittavritu nirodhah"
Means: yoga is restraining the mind stuff from taking various forms.

Yoga can be defined in many ways. Everyone has their own meaning.
 If you ask me; in simple words yoga is unification of mind body & soul.

Yoga is most commonly practiced for mental and physical health.

It keeps the body flexible, strengthens our muscles, activates our life energy and makes our mind positive.

Yoga helps us to cope our life to preserve our health and to let the happiness grow in our world.

Practicing yoga on daily basis gives us a long healthy and happy life.

If we follow and practice some yoga asanas, we can avoid most diseases.

YOGA TO DEVELOP CORE STRENGTH: 
There are many asanas to develop core strength. Today let me give you an idea about one of them which is Paripurna Navasana one of the classic yoga pose for core strength. 

All about boat pose (Navasana):
If you want to build beautiful sexy abs or tone your abs, it is the great asana to start with...

WHAT IS BOAT POSE (NAVASANA):
The name comes from the Sanskrit words "Nava" meaning Boat and "Asana" meaning pose.

Boat pose is mainly a Hip flexion and spinal extension asana. if the arms are reaching forward, shoulder flexion is added.

WHERE IT WORKS:
a) In navasana, the muscles being stretched are mostly the Hamstrings.
b) It also works on your Hip flexors, abdominals and adductor muscles.
C) It strengthens the lower back muscles.

HOW TO DO BOAT POSE:
a) Sit on the floor with your legs straight in front of you.
b) Now slowly roll your shoulders back, lean back slowly, suck your tummy in,
c) Exhale and lift your legs all the way up and try to get your thighs at 45 degree angle to the floor.
d) Slowly try to stretch your arms straight alongside the legs.
e) Hold the pose till 5 to 10 breath count.
f) Release  the pose slowly.
g) This is going to create a vibration on your lower back mainly your abdominal, that is because you are working on your abs.
h) Repeat.

BENEFITS OF BOAT POSE (NAVASANA):
a) Improves Digestion.
b) Strengthens abdominals, Hip flexors and Spine.
c) Tones your abs.
d) Relieves from stress.
e)Helps to develop core strength.
f) Reduce fat and strengthen lower body muscles.


Note: Consult a doctor before beginning an excersice regime.
